Stadium Carpet and Hospitality Carpet in general will undergo a life of hard knocks and needs to look fantastic under high traffic and soiling conditions, all of which were strictly investigated by the design team on this project

When The Eden Park Trust Board & Jasmax Architects where considering all flooring options for Stadium Carpet, there was one company that stood out from the others. Irvine Flooring was selected to produce this custom designed Eden Park carpet that needed to look fantastic but perform under some of the most stringent hospitality demands.

The Redevelopment of Eden Park was to provide facilities for 60,000 people for the Rugby World Cup in 2011, so the selected flooring solution was a custom designed Axminster carpet that would answer design and technical requirements for all parties involved

Irvine Flooring’s custom designed stadium carpet was symbolic of a lava-flow to represent the volcano-populated Auckland region.

Carpet for restaurants are another area that need to be closely considered with high concentrated foot traffic and the amount of soiling that will take place the carpet needs to be constructed from the correct yarn systems or of a correct colour and design that will  hide any soiling of the  carpet, IE. a light coloured plain wool carpet would be a totally problematic choice where a darker patterned premium solution dyed nylon carpet or heavily patterned axminster carpet would be a far better offer.
